Purse made with can pull tabs. [2nd one]

First thing i gotta tell you: this purse it's kinda DIFFICULT to do! it's not as easy as the other things i've posted here before. In my previous posts you can see a purse like this one but the other one was a lil' bigger and large.

<--- Here you can see how the sewing goes... easy? noup....

You'll need around 200+ to make one of these, so if you want to make one, start collecting them! Whenever you see someone drinking a soda or anything from a can just say you need these pull tabs. Maybe people will be like "huh? what do you want them for...?" but they sure give them to you. In the past post about this i think i wrote how some of you can make this [ check and if i'm wrong you can kick me..twice haha].
<-- the inside of the purse.

As you can see it has a great space inside, perfect for storing a few things. To make it better, sew a piece of fabric inside, that way it won't look "transparent" , you can choose any color you want [yes any!] i used a blue piece of fabric because the thread used in these it's navy blue. At first i thought about making it green but then i decided that i wanted a blue one [ that used to be my fav color].

Take a look at the fabric -- >>>

<-- the buttonhole [ you can make it any size you desire].

<-- see that yellow arrow? no? mhm you are blind haha. Naw i drew that ugly arrow to show ya where  the buttonhole goes.

this is the way it'll look when you close it.

taran! the finished purse.

The whole process i can't really explain it to you but if you catch me in person, you can attack me [yes attack me] with 7583943 questions about how this was made. Mhm i believe  that in the previous post i kinda explain it a little, not too much though. [ sorry if i'm just confusing ya]. I'm thinking of uploading videos instead of this...
It's basically the same process as the other one, so you should check it out, and as always, be CAREFUL on where you sew things, peace out! >:)

 Things you'll need:
*200+ can pull tabs
*The kind of thread you see in the pictures.
*Scissors
*Piece of fabric
*Hook for the massive sewing part
*TIME, PATIENCE AND DEDICATION >:)

CapriSun purse [the big one i had promised].

As some of you may remember, a while ago i made a purse using only CapriSun envelopes but it was a very small one [which by the way doesn't exist anymore]. Yeah, i destroyed that purse in order to make this one, much bigger! the other one looked like it was made for polly pockets or something.
<-- the front and one side of the purse.

To make one like this just follow the instructions i posted before. I think it's the umm second post? yeah go check it out >:)
<-- the down side of the purse.

For this purse i used 42 enevelopes, that's without counting the envelopes i used to make the handles.
the inside of the purse -->>

What you see above is how it looks from the inside. I chose to sew those two pieces of cloth [ orange!]to use them as pockets. That size is good  and i mean for the whole purse and for the size of the 'pockets'.Remember that you have to sew it in parts, not all shuuuum! no no... first one thing then another. Also keep in mind that you can use as many envelopes you desire! you can use more than 50 if you want [but that'd be too many]. Or you can use less, that's your choice.

This purse it's not difficult to do, you just gotta be careful where you sew all the envelopes, you have to make sure that they're all lined up and stuff. I strongly recommed to use the sewing machine!!if you don't want to go crazy... use it >;) If you need help doing this, just contact me and i'll be happy to help you. For some reason i love doing these type of bags.

Things you'll need:
*CapriSun envelopes [more than 40]
*Scissors
*Needle and thread
*Sewing machine [necessary!]
*Piece of cloth [any color]
*Time and dedication >:)

Skirt Purse.

Sometimes we have lots of clothes that may seem not useful for us anymore but... we are WRONG! oh yes we are wrong
<-- front side of the purse.

I'm the kind of person  that will have bunches and bunches of old clothes all pilled up in the closet or somewhere else!
Let me say that this skirt wasn't mine.. noup! i used to be kinda tomboy [maybe i'm still one.. ] when i was younger so i didn't buy these kind of clothing, i was all about jeans and stuff. I didn't buy dresses either [i'm begining to buy them at last!] But umm this post is not  about my likes and dislikes in clothing hah so instead i'll tell you how you can do a purse like this. And no.. you can't wear this!

back side of the purse -->>

First thing you gotta do is find an old skirt you think you'll never use again! never never again in your life... [okay that sounded drastic but it's true]. I say find cause i found this one , i didn't buy it or something similar, i found it here in my house one day. It looked like trash so i had to wash it before so make sure it's clean, otherwise it won't look good. Oh.. but you gotta be sure that nobody will use it, don't be selfish and think about others haha. But now that i mention this i don't even know who was the owner of this skirt  tehee, i'm a bad person or what?. Maybe one day the owner will show up and tell me "yo ilze! that's my skirt.. wth?! you turned it into a purse?". [let's hope that doesn't happen].
Okay, you got your skirt all cleaned up? yeah? all right! First, you'll have to cut two pieces of jean fabric in order to do the handles, because we want a purse with handles right? i mean you can do it without the handles but i don't think you'll want to be carrying it all around. These two pieces that you will cut, make sure that are the same size, you'll sew them at the very half [ you can fold them to see where the half is at]. In other words you'll shape them in the shape [durh] of handles u u u. <-- similar to that.

<-- the inside of the purse.

Then, you'll have to sew the skirt from the very bottom, this is not difficult to accomplish if you have a sewing machine. Just sew it from one side to the other, just follow the bottom line. I sew from the inside but you can do it from the outside too. When you finish sewing this you can sew it from the sides too, i did it because for some reason i thought it would be more resistant [rawr!]. You can see in the pictures that sewing i'm telling you. There's no need to sew the pockets from anywhere, they look nice heh besides you can use them to store things inside, as if it was a simple skirt.
You can add some decoration to the purse when you are finished with sewing. oh i almost forgot.. the handles! yes they're important. You'll sew them from the front and back side [look at picture #1] there you can see clearly the handles. Sew them as many times as you can! when i sewed this the first time i only did it once so you can imagne how it was.. i hung it over my shoulder and tttttrrrrsssssttt..! it ripped! yeah it sucked but then i sewed it again for like hmm.. 6 times or so and now it's resistant as _____. yeah like that!
I know my instructions aren't that clear but you know you can ask me whatever you want about this whenever you want >:) you guys know where to find me. See ya!

Things you'll need:
-An old skirt.
-Scissors
-Needle and thread
-Sewing machine
-Time and dedication >:)

Skittles cushion.

Everyone knows that i love skittles :) and if you don't.. well.. then you don't know me that well.

[Front side]
I still remember when i came up with this. One day i was in class at school and i was eating skittles, then a friend told me "aagh! i wanna sleep so bad.. these desks should have cushions or something" . When he told me that i was looking  at my folder [ which had empty packages of skittles in the front]  and i was like "mhm.. cushions..skittles..." That's when i decided to do this.

 < [Back]

For this cushion  at first i wanted to stuff it with cottons, but i didn't work out [ they turned into big massive ones]. Later, i got an old cushion and started taking out all the stuff from the inside and then my pops looked at me and he told me that it was better to just put the piece of yellow fabric i had already made on top of the old cushion.. and yeah it was a good idea. So basically this is a yellow fabric stuffed with an old cushion. The only things i made was to give the fabric the shape of a cushion and to sew the skittles packages into the fabric. Oh and see the red square in the center?.. it's a pocket. [ or wannabe pocket?] .
 < i know it doesn't match..

Anyways this is not hard to do, and i only spent like umm 3 days? doing it. You can choose any fabric color you desire and also the candy packages you want. I'm thinking of making another one of these but instead of the skittles packages i wanna use some photos :) if i do it i'll post it here.

Things you'll need:
*Piece of fabric
*Needle and thread or a sewing machine
*Candy packages [empty duh]
* An old cushion
*Scissors
*Ruler
*Time and dedication :)

Cassette purse.

This is personally one of my favorite things i've made so far..
The front side i think..
It consists of just some cassettes glued together in the shape of a bag/purse. For this i used a special glue, which i'll give you the name later.

One of the sides.
< The other front side.

< Down side, you don't have to use the six cassettes you see here in the picture, the amount of cassettes will depend on how big you want it.
<< Inside of the purse, i glued a black piece of fabric . This can be any color you desire. Also you can leave it without anything but i recommend you to put one.
Again i tell you, you don't have to use the amount of cassettes you see here in the pictures. For this purse i used umm 22-24 cassettes, but you could make one using 36 or more!

Things you'll need:
*Cassettes, useless of course.
*Glue [not any glue.. a strong/ rawr one]
* A saw
* Ribbon or something similar to use as the handles
*Piece of fabric
*Time and dedication :)

CapriSun wallet.

This may look familiar to you..

That's because i posted before a purse i made using this CapriSun envelopes.Only that now instead of being a purse it's a wallet.

< Down side.

< As you can see i sew some velcro on the top and in the middle of the envelope, this is for closing and opening the wallet. It's very easy to do, you only gotta know how to sew and if you don't know you just learn . 8)
You have to use a sewing machine to do this kind of wallet but... as always you can sew by hand too!

Things you'll need:
*Two CapriSun envelopes
*Sewing machine
*Thread
* Velcro
*A pair of scissors
*Time and dedication :)

Purse made with can pull tabs.

This looks difficult to do and YEAH! it is very hard to do it. Also you'll need a lot of spare time. The first thing you gotta do is collect all those pull tabs from the cans, i remember i was all the time like "hey! don't throw that, i need them.." Besides the pull tabs you'll need to break a gallon of milk to put it on the down side of the purse , this will bring the purse some kind of  base.

< Down side.

< I used some velcro to open and close the purse. This is not necessary but i strongly recommend it. On the inside you have to put a piece of fabric [any color] . I sew a black one on.
You can do this by knowing how to put together all those pull tabs , using some yarn and a thick needle. And yeah... it takes a lot of time...

Things you'll need :
*7975453 pull tabs
*Yarn and a thick needle
* One milk gallon
*Velcro
*PATIENCE
*TIME  and dedication :)

Bracelets, ring and one necklace.

This things that you'll see next are not hard at all to do, and you can do them in like.. 5 minutes? really easy!
From left to right: bracelet made with ribbons and buttons, bracelet made from a shoe lace , bracelet made with the thingy you use to open cans, bracelet made with buttons and finally a necklace made with lots of lil' things i happened to found.

Here we can see the ring i made with a button, and the two bracelets i made using buttons too. "You love buttons ilze or what?" No i don't but i think they look cute.

As you could see this bracelets are easy to do , yo won't spend too much time doing them. The only one that might take some time is the red one with the can things [dont remember the name] .

Things you'll need :
*Ribbons
*Buttons and more buttons
*Needle and thread
*Those can things
* Decorations
*Time and dedication :)

Small bra purse.

I turned a useless bra into a purse.. weird? crazy? i dont't know and i don't care 8) [that sounded rawr]
This is one of the bra sides. As you can apreciate i decorated it with a small heart [i have lots of those and i don't even know why] Thta red square you see in the right side it's a pocket, yep a pocket. Both things were stitched using a needle and some thread.

We can see here the other side of the purse/bra. On this side i stitch a piece of red fabric [red!] a black button , and a red bun which we can't look. The metalic button that's on the top was sewed there so that it can be used for closing the purse.
< Inside of the purse. Not very big i know. To get this you gotta glue together the bra, the  two sides, using the hot glue gun you can achieve this.
It's really easy to do it and it doesn't take too much time. You can choose any color, any side, etc. And you can decorate it with whatever you want! Definitely an ice breaker this lil purse.. [ i've never take it to the outside world]

Things you'll need:
*An old/ useless bra.
*Hot glue gun
*Needle and thread
*Decorations
*Time and dedication :)

Remote control wallet.

This is one of the craziest ones i've made so far..
At first you see it and say "ohh wow ilze it's a remote control, what about it? i have lots back at home"

... yeah a simple/indefense/boring remote control... [front]

.. [back] ..

"Oh yes ilze we all know that remote controls batteries go in the back.. wait.. where are  the batteries?.." Yeah, i took out the batteries and the thingy that holds them and i inserted a piece of yellow fabric, which i glued thanks with the help of a hot glue gun, very easy..

I know too much cash.. yes this is the compartment for the coins, loose change and all that. You can use any color you want. This is not necessary btw but i thought it would look better with this fabric glued in it.
Well notice that side that's broken?.. no?.. yes? all right! You have NOOO idea how difficult it was to open this control..  Thanks to the lack of strenght in my arms i had to ask my sista for help. [btw thanks sista you're the best!] . She opened that .. how? i don't remember quite well, all i remember is that i was holding the back side of the remote and she was pulling on the front side, it was kinda fun to do and watch.  After 10 min  of  struggling with this  it  was finally open [wahoo] The next thing i did was to take out all the things that were inside. [don't ask what bc i don't know those names] Then, i glued the keyboard to the front side, you don't want  the keyboard to be all loose.

Inside of the back side>>
On the left side of the picture you can see that i didn't put anything at all inside, that's bc it would only take a lot of space and well it's already small. That'a where the bills are supposed to go.
On the right side you can see that i glued the keyboard [ like i told ya before] . I tried with the hot glue gun but it didn't work out so, i used another glue i found in my refrigerator [yes in the refrigerator] . It said on the label "glues virtually anything!" me - "anything?.. we'll see.." and yeah! it worked out.

Here you can see clearly a bill and one coin inside the remote. The 'lid' is the front side, the one with the keyboard.

To close it you just put the two pieces together and wawiwo! You have your remote control wallet. Of course the remote will look broken from the front but not everyone notice this. To open it you lift that side and the rest just pops out.

Things you'll need:
*A useless remote control
*A powerful glue
* Piece of fabric [optional]
*Scissors
*Hot glue gun
*Patience!
*Time and dedication :)
